"My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in cultural humility, blending CBT, solution-focused strategies, and practical skills to meet each client exactly where they are."

Intro Statement

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and rooted in creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can show up exactly as they are. I believe meaningful change happens when individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered in the healing process. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify patterns, and build practical tools that support your emotional well-being.

I pull from evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused strategies, to tailor each session to your unique needs. My goal is to help you deepen your insight, reconnect with your strengths, and develop skills that support lasting growth. Above all, authenticity, cultural humility, and compassion guide the work we’ll do together. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward healing and wholeness.

Education

I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling & Psychology from The University of West Alabama. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies with a minor in Psychology from The University of Alabama. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Alabama and continue ongoing professional development in trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, and culturally responsive counseling.

Experience

My clinical experience spans a wide range of mental health settings, including community agencies, crisis services, transitional housing programs, prison systems, and outpatient counseling. I have supported adults, adolescents, and individuals navigating complex social, emotional, or systemic challenges.

I have experience working with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, relationship stress, and severe mental illness. I enjoy helping clients strengthen emotional regulation, build confidence, improve communication skills, and develop healthier coping strategies. My background in both supportive therapeutic environments and higher-acuity settings allows me to bring a grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to the therapy space.
